Arrival, departure and opening times
When is the park open?
ouring guests are welcome from 20 March to 1 November 2026. Owners of static caravans on site can visit from 1 March to 14 December.
What time do we need to depart the site?
Please vacate your pitch by 12 noon on your day of departure.
What time can we arrive on site?
You can arrive any time after 12 noon. If you will arrive after 6pm, please call us on 01263 823802 so we can check you in.
Booking, payment and cancellations
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers for caravan pitches. Please contact reception on 01263 823802 for details.
Do you offer seasonal pitches?
Yes. Our seasonal touring pitches run for a minimum of three consecutive months and require a £300 deposit. The full season (20 March to 1 November 2026) is £3,390, with individual months also available. If your booking includes July or August, please book by 31 May 2026. You will find the full seasonal rates on our tariffs page.
Do you accept group bookings?
Yes, we welcome group bookings. Please enquire by email at info@woodlandscaravanpark.co.uk or call our reception on 01263 823802.
I need to cancel my booking, what do I do?
Please call us on 01263 823802 or email info@woodlandscaravanpark.co.uk, and we will be happy to talk you through how to cancel your booking.
Do you offer refunds if we cancel or leave early?
If you cancel more than 7 days before your booking is due to start, we will refund what you have paid, minus the 25% non-refundable deposit. We are not able to offer refunds if you leave early, or if you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date.
When do I have to pay, and is there a deposit?
When you book online we ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due one week before your arrival.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and most credit and debit cards.
Do I have to book in advance?
It is advisable to book your pitch in advance, especially during peak periods. For same-day bookings, please call us on 01263 823802 to check availability.
Pitches, vehicles and units
Do you sell static caravans?
Yes, we sell privately owned static caravans on site, both new and pre-owned, each with its own private plot. These are for sale rather than for rent. Please contact reception on 01263 823802 to talk through what is currently available.
Can I charge an electric vehicle on site?
We do not have electric vehicle charging on site, and charging from a pitch electric point is not permitted (a £250 fine applies). There are public chargers at nearby supermarkets.
Are the pitches level?
Parts of the site sit on a gentle slope, so we recommend bringing levelling ramps to get your unit nice and level. Reception is always happy to point you towards a pitch that suits you.
How much does a touring pitch cost?
Touring pitches start at £30 per night, with standard and peak rates at busier times, and an awning is £3.50 per night. You will find the full tariff, including seasonal rates, on our tariffs page.
Do you welcome motorhomes and campervans?
Yes. We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, and every pitch has its own electric hook-up. The maximum unit length is 7.70m (up to 8m by arrangement with reception), with up to six people per pitch.
Are pitches allocated?
Pitches are not allocated in advance. You are welcome to choose your own pitch when you arrive.
What are the rules on extra cars and other vehicles?
Each pitch has room for your caravan or motorhome and one car. Any additional vehicles should be parked in the on-site car park.
Dogs, BBQs and site rules
Do you allow tents?
We are sorry, but tents are not allowed on site. We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans.
Are dogs allowed at Woodlands?
Yes, we are a dog-friendly park. Dogs are £1 per night, with up to three dogs welcome per pitch. There are lovely walks straight into Sheringham Park from the site.
Can we have a BBQ on site?
Yes. We allow gas and electric BBQs only, with no charcoal, and they should be freestanding and at table-top height. Please keep smoke and fumes under control so you do not disturb your neighbours.
On-site facilities
What entertainment is on?
Through the season we run a programme of entertainment, including quizzes, bingo, live music, karaoke and race nights. The full 2026 timetable is available from reception.
Is there fishing on site?
We offer day-ticket fishing at our lakes, Willow Lakes and Hart Lane at Bodham. Day tickets are £13 for adults, £5 for under-16s and £2 for guests.
What are the toilet and shower facilities like?
Our toilet, shower and laundry block is underfloor heated, with hand and hair dryers, baby changing in both the male and female facilities, and disabled facilities. Keeping the block clean is something our team takes real pride in.
Is there a bar on site?
Yes. We have a bar and lounge serving drinks alongside bar food and snacks, with a pool table to enjoy. It is open every day at the height of the season, and Wednesday to Sunday outside school holidays. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Is there a children’s play area on site?
Yes. There is a large play area on site, recently updated and suitable for children of all ages, with swings, football goals and a basketball net.
Do you have a shop on site?
Yes. Our reception shop offers a small selection of goods, along with ice creams and a coffee machine.
Is there a laundrette on site?
Yes. There is a laundrette on site, with tokens available from reception. The washing machine is £4 and the tumble dryer is £2 for 20 minutes.
Is there Wi-Fi access on site?
Yes, we provide free basic WiFi around the site through a number of hotspots. Because of the open, wooded nature of the site, the signal can vary and we do not promise high-speed broadband. It is fine for simple tasks such as checking email, browsing and using social media, but may not be reliable for video streaming or video calls, particularly where the signal is weak or the network is busy.
The local area
How do I get around without a car?
You can manage well without a car. A bus runs roughly every 40 minutes from the park entrance, towards Sheringham and Cromer one way and Holt the other, with timetables on the site notice board. There is also a train from Sheringham to Norwich.
Where is the nearest beach?
The nearest beach is at Sheringham, a Blue Flag beach about 3 miles away. You can also walk to the coast from the site in under an hour along the footpath.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
The nearest supermarket is Tesco in Sheringham, about 2.5 miles from the site.
Where is the nearest town?
Sheringham is roughly a 5-minute drive from the site. There is also a footpath straight from the park into Sheringham and on to the coast, walkable in under an hour.
